Free EWS Admission in Private Schools Delhi 2025-26: The process of admission to free seats in nursery, KG and class 1 in private schools of Delhi is about to start. The Directorate of Education has given the schedule of Delhi EWS admission. According to this, admissions under RTE in private schools in the capital will start in February. The form for Delhi EWS Admission 2025-26 will be released on 3 February 2025. From this date you can start the online application process on edudel.nic.in.
Parents will be able to fill the form till 19 February 2025 for EWS / DG / CWSN category seats in Delhi. The first computerized draw will be taken out on 5 March 2025. While the date of document verification i.e. checking of your documents and final admission will be told after the draw. Apart from private schools, primary level schools of recognized private schools from MCD, MDMC will also be included in this draw.
School admission on 25% free seats
On Monday, the Delhi Directorate of Education has released the schedule and guidelines for free admission on 25% seats for economically weaker sections / disadvantaged group / children with special needs. According to this scheduled schedule, admissions will be taken in nursery, KG and class 1. It is worth noting that out of these 25%, 3% seats will be reserved for children with special needs.
Delhi EWS Admission Age Limit
If we talk about the age limit, then the age limit for students with special needs is 3 to 7 years in nursery, 4 to 8 years in KG and 5 to 9 years in class 1.
The Directorate of Education has said that if there are any questions or confusions related to admission in private schools, then parents can contact the Edudel helpline number 9818154069. The call time will be from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 5 pm.
